Svalbard, Norway

Located in the Barents Sea between the Norwegian mainland and the North Pole, Svalbard is a large but sparsely populated archipelago, home to just 2,400 people as well as polar bears, reindeer, walruses and seals. Reykjavik is one of the most affordable and accessible place to see the Northern Lights and is a popular spot for visitors to view the spectacular natural phenomenon which happens during the winter months.
